You can mount the detector and pull the green plug out, conveniently attach the wire and simply plug it back in. I have several of these in use in my house and office I love them. I have one in my personal clothes closet, My closet was dark and I could not see well at all so I bought the same PIR dect. and installed one in my closet, one on my kitchen steps leading to the basement, one in a closet I use in my office for storage. I hooked up 12 volt 10 amp hour batteries, I took the same LED strips I sell ( cool white) cut them into 1 meter pieces( 60 led’s per /meter) Now I can actually see the difference between blue and black clothes, I can see the canned goods on the shelves leading to the basement and can see in my storage closet easily. How many times can I say I love them. All my timer settings are on 1 minute. Now the only drawback was the batteries would draw down in about 3-4 days because the motion detector is constantly on, So I replaced the batteries with the same 2 amp power supply I sell.
