Performance rivals Glass Panels Flexible panels deteriorate outdoors and have useful lives of 2-3 years after which time their performance drops significantly. What a poor investment. Less than ideal light conditions is MOST OF THE TIME, so you WILL see far better performance in everyday use from Sunpower than other brands' solar, period. They also last much longer outdoors thanks. Glue them to your metal roof with some VHB tape and you're set. Ours have withstood years of harsh sun and strong winds with no signs of deterioration, either cosmetic or in power output.
